Pick the kind you want: a passphrase of real words that is easy to type and remember, a random password, or a PIN. Every password is made on your PC and shows how long it would take to crack, from seconds to centuries. ## Make it your way Passphrases run from 3 to 10 words, joined by a hyphen, period, underscore, space or nothing at all, with a capital and a number added if you like. Random passwords run from 8 to 64 characters, and you choose capitals, lowercase, numbers and symbols. PINs run from 4 to 12 digits. ## Follows the site's rules Some sites want 8 to 16 characters, or no symbols except a hyphen. Paste the rules the way the site words them, and every new password follows them until you clear the box. ## Type it anywhere Press Ctrl+Alt+P in any app, or pick your own shortcut, and a fresh password is typed straight into the field you are in. It shows in the app too, so you can copy it into your password manager. Close the window and the app waits in the notification area, ready for the next one. ## Copy safely Copy a password with one click. It stays out of clipboard history and cloud sync, and the clipboard clears itself after 30 seconds. ## Check a password you already use Type or paste a password you use today, and the app checks it against Have I Been Pwned, the best-known collection of passwords leaked in data breaches. You see how many times it was found and how quickly it could be cracked. Only the first 5 characters of the password's SHA-1 fingerprint leave your PC. The password itself never does, and the app does not keep it. ## Password check-up Export your saved passwords as a CSV file from Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Bitwarden or 1Password, and drop it on the app. The check-up lists every login that needs attention: passwords found in data breaches, the same password used on more than one site, and passwords that are easy to guess. Firefox exports also show passwords that have not been changed in over a year. For each login, open the site's change-password page and copy a strong new password to put there. When you are done, delete the export file from the app, since it holds every password in plain text. Nothing in the export leaves your PC but 5-character fingerprints. ## Your choice Breach checks can be turned off in Settings.
