Quick PDF Compressor
Nobody knows what quality 40 looks like. But everybody knows what "under 10 MB" means, because that is what the mailbox or the upload form told them. Quick PDF Compressor takes the limit you were actually given and works the quality down until the document meets it. Under 10 MB for email, 5 MB for upload forms, 2 MB for chat — or as small as it will go. Documents already under the limit are left alone. Nothing is uploaded.
You were not given a quality number. You were given a limit. Start there.

About Quick PDF Compressor
Every other PDF compressor asks you for a quality number. Nobody on earth knows what quality 40 looks like.
You were not given a quality number. You were given a limit: the mailbox bounced at 10 MB, the application portal will not take more than 5, the message app refused it. Quick PDF Compressor takes that limit and gets the document under it.
Tell it the limit
The app then works down the ladder itself, compressing harder until the file actually comes in under the number. There is no quality slider anywhere in the interface, because a quality slider is the app asking you to do its job.
- Email attachment — under 10 MB, the usual mailbox limit.
- Upload form — under 5 MB, which covers most portals and applications.
- Chat or message — under 2 MB, which sends anywhere.
- As small as it goes — no limit, taking the quality down as far as it will drop.
It knows which ones already fit
Documents already under the limit are marked and left alone. Recompressing a 2 MB file to meet a 10 MB target costs quality and buys nothing, so it does not happen.
Read it against the target
The queue reads as a set of before-and-afters against the limit you picked: what each document weighed, what it weighs now, and whether it made it. The command bar totals the batch. Nothing is estimated — the figures are what was actually written.
A whole folder at once
Drag a folder in, or select documents in File Explorer and send them across with Open with. Each row carries its page count, its size and a preview of the first page. Anything that could not be processed is named individually with the reason, and one unreadable document never stops the run.
Where the results go
Write compressed copies beside the originals, send them into a folder of their own, or replace the originals in place.
On your PC, only
The free web compressors do this by taking your document onto their servers. This does not. No account, no sign-in, no upload, no telemetry, and it works with the network off — which matters rather a lot when the thing you are emailing is a contract or a medical record.
Features
- Give it the limit you were handed, not a quality number: under 10 MB, 5 MB or 2 MB
- Works the quality down the ladder until the document actually meets the limit
- Or take it as small as it will go, with no limit at all
- Marks which documents are already under the limit and leaves them alone
- Before and after against the target, per document and across the batch
- No quality slider anywhere — you never have to guess what quality 40 looks like
- Takes a whole folder at once — drag them in, or right-click a selection in File Explorer
- Write the results beside the originals, into a folder you choose, or over the files themselves
- Names every document it could not process, and why, instead of quietly skipping it
- Cancel mid-run; everything already finished stays finished
- Runs entirely on your PC — no account, no upload, no server processing
