Secret Screenshot
Secret Screenshot quietly takes a screenshot of your screen every few seconds and reads the words in each one. Search for any word you saw, an order number, a name, an error, and jump straight to the moment it was on screen. Everything stays on your PC.

About Secret Screenshot
You saw it an hour ago. An order number, a price, a message, an error. Secret Screenshot keeps a picture of your screen every few seconds, so you can find it again.
A screenshot every few seconds
Choose a folder and press Start capturing. Secret Screenshot takes a screenshot every 3, 5, 10 or 30 seconds, or every 1, 5 or 15 minutes, and saves it there. It works quietly in the background and never gets in your way. Each new screenshot slides onto a film strip in the window as it is taken.
Search everything your screen showed
Secret Screenshot reads the words in every screenshot. Type a word into the search box and every moment that showed it lines up on the strip, captioned with the line it matched. Click a frame to open the full screenshot.
Step back through your day
Drag the slider under the strip to scroll back through today, frame by frame. Turn a whole day into a time-lapse video with one click.
You always know when it is on
While capture is on, a small pill sits in a corner of the screen saying Capturing screen. Click it to pause, and click again to resume. You can also pause from the notification area, or with a keyboard shortcut from any app. The pill and the app's own window never show up in the screenshots.
Keep out what you choose
Add a password manager, a banking site or any other app or window title to the skip list, and nothing is captured while it is in front. Nothing is captured while your PC is locked, either.
Light on disk
Screenshots are saved as JPEG by default, or PNG if you prefer. When the screen has not changed, the same picture is not saved twice. Sort screenshots into a folder per day, and have screenshots older than a set number of days deleted for you. Only screenshots this app saved are ever deleted.
Private to your PC
Your screenshots and their words stay in your folder. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to sign up for.
Upgrading?
Your folder and settings carry over, and the screenshots you already took become searchable too.
