About Temp Files Cleaner
Temporary files pile up. Most are forgotten the moment an installer finishes, but some belong to programs that are still using them, and a cleaner that cannot tell the difference breaks things. Temp Files Cleaner is built around telling the difference.
Weigh it
TempCleaner weighs your temp folder and Windows' temp folder. The hourglass shows the answer: rose sand on top is old enough to clear, pale sand below is too recent to touch. The 8 biggest old items are listed with their size and when they were last used, and you can show any of them in File Explorer.
Flip it
Click the hourglass to clear the old files. When it is done, a report shows what was cleared, how many files were in use and kept, and how many changed since the scan.
Safety is the point
Anything used in the last 1, 7, 30 or 90 days is left alone, your choice. If any file in a folder is recent or open, the whole folder stays, so an installer or a game's launcher never loses half of its files. Every file a program has open is skipped. Shortcuts and junctions are never followed out of the temp folders. And if a temp setting points at a drive or your profile instead of a real temp folder, Temp Files Cleaner refuses to clean it.
Undo
Cleared files go to the Recycle Bin by default, and Undo puts the last clean back where it was, even after you close the app. Prefer them gone for good? Turn that off.
Everything happens on this PC. There is no account, nothing is uploaded, and it works with no connection.
