EvlarSoft Link connects your phone to an EvlarSoft Windows app. Scan a code and you're connected.
Pairing
Three steps, one scan.
Your phone opens a page in its browser. There's nothing to download and nothing to sign in to.
Open the phone link
In the app on your PC, choose Connect your phone. It shows a QR code.
Scan the code
Point your phone's camera at the code. A page opens in your phone's browser.
You're connected
Your PC shows your phone by name. You can disconnect it from the PC at any time.

It finds a way on its own.
Your phone and PC try three ways to connect, in this order, and use the first one that works.
Straight to your PC
Your phone and PC talk directly to each other, on the same Wi-Fi or over the internet on most networks, including most mobile data.
Through your Wi-Fi
If a direct connection can't be made, the app on your PC serves the phone page over your Wi-Fi.
Your PC's own Wi-Fi
Your PC makes its own Wi-Fi network for the phone to join. Your phone has no internet while it's on it, and your PC's Wi-Fi adapter has to support this.
If one connection drops, your phone switches between Wi-Fi and the internet on its own, and rejoins by itself after a short drop.
Privacy and security
What you send stays between your devices.
When your phone and PC connect directly, they use WebRTC, which is always encrypted end to end. Over your Wi-Fi, messages are encrypted with a key that only the QR code carries. Your PC's own Wi-Fi gets a new password each session, sent to your phone encrypted.
Our server at link.evlarsoft.comonly introduces your phone to your PC. It never sees what you send, keeps no request logs, and deletes each session when it ends. Cloudflare Turnstile checks in the background that the phone page isn't being used by a bot.
The phone page remembers only your theme, screen-on and phone-name choices, in your phone's own browser storage. The full details are in our privacy policy.

Common questions.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Your phone opens a page in its browser, so there's no app to install and no account to make. It works on iPhone and Android.
Does it work on mobile data?
Usually. When your phone isn't on the same Wi-Fi as your PC, it connects over the internet, including most mobile data. Some carrier, work and hotel networks block direct connections; the same Wi-Fi always works, and is fastest.
Is it private?
Yes. What you send is encrypted and goes straight between your devices, never through our servers. Nothing you record or type is stored online; it's saved on your PC. The privacy policy has the details.
Why did it disconnect?
The PC disconnected it, another phone scanned the code and took over, or the network dropped. After a short drop, your phone rejoins by itself. A code expiring doesn't end a connection: your PC quietly issues a new one. If your phone doesn't come back, scan the code again.

Does it cost anything?
No. EvlarSoft Link is free and comes with the app.
Troubleshooting
If your phone won't connect.
Most connection problems come down to the network.
Use the same Wi-Fi
Your phone and PC on the same Wi-Fi network is the fastest way to connect.
Guest, hotel or school Wi-Fi
These networks often stop devices from seeing each other. Your phone will try the internet instead, or you can switch it to mobile data.
Turn off a VPN
A VPN on your phone or PC can get in the way. Turn it off while you connect.
Allow the Windows Firewall prompt
If Windows asks whether to allow the app on your network, allow it. Otherwise your phone can't reach your PC over Wi-Fi.
Keep your phone's screen on
Phones pause browser pages when the screen turns off. The phone page has a setting to keep the screen on.
